02/05/25 Postcard From This Place

Maximalist bedroom.

lamplight.

William Morris duvet - Seaweed design - heaped over woman.

She is upright, in dark wooden bed. Jungle green curtains capture indigo dawn light and bird song. A velvetine dog twitches in its morning dreams. Frida.

The woman is awake and submerged in more than the seaweed duvet. Her Black & Decker brain woodpeckers deeply into the depths of Cymetics.

"How do I turn sound vibration into visual form?" guides her like a seductive finger that traces its way from breath-butterfly triggering cathedral ceilings, up marble pillars, around domed rooms with jonah-ribbed proportions and whale bone scale.

She tumbles, swims, dives down into the deeper catacombs of Art Nouveau, hardback books on Botanicals and eventually finds herself on Amazon, spending her hard-earned cash on books that feel like treasure.

Such is the process at 5.37am when one is commissioned to create a design that gives physical form to sound.

Cymetics. Have you heard of it?

Wish you were here.

Bethan xx
